We started in 1988 as a small mailing and distribution house, ISLANDWIDE NETWORK DISTRIBUTION AND TRADING. After a year of operation, the company was incorporated as ISLANDWIDE NETWORK PTE LTD (INK).

INK flourished more than three-fold and undertook the biggest direct marketing projects in Singapore. Our clients included Nestle, P&G, Esso Gas Station, Kao, UIC, Level Brother, KFC, Burger King, Ginvera etc for the consumer market and Seagate, Philips, Sony, Apple, Amtek etc for the recruitment exercises.

We were the leading player for direct marketing campaigns that included mail leaflets and product sampling for up to 90% of total households in Singapore with an impressive turnaround time of 7 days. Our other major achievements included being the official distributor for ASA (Association of Singapore Attractions), STPB (Singapore Tourist and Promotion Board), CAAS (Changi Airport Aviation Singapore) and all the major tourist publishers in Singapore.

Our distribution network handled 90% of all tourist publications in Changi Airport and all major hotels, attraction, pubs and cafes.  The company was also appointed as one of the three official distributors for Yellow Pages to commercial addresses and telephone booths throughout the island of Singapore.

In 1992, another milestone was the expansion of our core business into Printing. In a short time frame of 4 years, the company had grown to include a team of more than 20 employees that had the capability to do a full end-to-end print production under one roof.

Our specialists included in-house designers, pre-press F/A artists who operated the CTF (Computer-to-film), exposed offset plates, printers who operated Komori 4c and 2c offset printing machines, operators who ran folding machines, stitching machines, guillotine cutter, and a delivery team.

We were the first few companies that fully equipped with these facilities. By 1996, we had a total headcount of about 40 employees. Our portfolio included major companies and brands such as Amex, HDB, Town Councils, attractions of Singapore (Zoo, Bird Park, Volcano land, Sentosa, Fantasy Island, Tang Dynasty, Underwater World etc.

In 1998, the Asia Financial Crisis overwhelmed the entire economy of Asia. Our expansion plan was executed in the wrong time and we had just shifted to a bigger premise of about 10,000 sq ft. All sectors of the Singapore economy was badly affected such as tourism, advertising, publication markets and we were not spared. With the culmination of other worldwide health and security disasters such as  SARS, 911 and the crash of the dotcom market  it leads to the imminent scale-down of our operations.

By 2000, we had gradually withdrawn from operations and production works and diversified into trading of used printing machinery.

Today, under a new entity, INKINK MACHINERY PTE LTD we have embarked on a new journey while not forgetting our roots as a humble company that had flourished during the past two decades. Our company name still retains the root word INK to again spur us again on to new and greater heights.  Under the same leadership and foresight of the original management team, INKINK has new vigour and envision to excel and be a major player in the used machinery landscape in Singapore.
